new foster lolly has a bit of happy tail. mostly it is just wheepy/raw pink and not bloody and scabby. but i cannot get her to leave it alone. i have tried 3 different 'anti lick/gross taste' sprays...

Someone told me if you wash your hands with alcohol it will get that bitter apple stuff off.... not sure though because I have never had to try it. I would try the e-collar. It may not totally keep...

I don't know if this is a bit over the top, but what about a soft or basket muzzle, when you are not with her and keep spraying when you are with her?

All I can say is good luck getting the muzzle on! Ty has a soft muzzle that I am going to put on him when he first plays with Jet after her operation. Not that he is aggressive but he will be rough...

Sorry to hear that Karen. I almost had to amputate part of Major's tail last winter after a severe injury. It is so hard. Luckily I was able to save it. My Greyhound had to have his tail amputated...
